romance

Silk slip camis are strong at the moment.   A bit of cheeky lace peeking out from a blazer is tres chic and adds a touch of romance to your day.   I’ve teamed this Gold Hawk slip with some printed silk Joie pants (they have killer pouchy pockets) and are super light to wear.   The cropped Hunky Dory leather jacket is my favourite piece at the moment and gives a nice injection of warmth to my outfit.   The patent leather pumps from Zara are surprisingly comfortable and cost $50.   What a bargain, they look so good!   I’ve grown fond of this Wittner clutch that scrunches up nicely under your arm.   My wrist action consists of Vita Fede and Collette bracelets and a Michael Kors watch.   Rachel Zeuner necklace and Asos sunglasses complete today’s look. xx

chunky knit & thigh highs

Lately I’ve been wanting to wear big chunky knits as dresses with my Stuart Weitzman thigh high boots.   There’s something a bit sexy about wearing an over-sized knit and nothing much else.   This piece is seriously special, designed by one of the first labels mum brought in to the country.   In her day, English designer Sara Sturgeon was huge (she stopped designing many years ago) and I have many pieces stored carefully in the wardrobe.  One year when I was fresh out of school, I worked in Paris on the stand at the Pret-a-Porter and in the Sara Sturgeon showroom in London.   It certainly was an amazing experience for a teenager and I learned so much about the industry.

I picked up this Dolce & Gabbana pony hair bag in New York as I desperately needed another leopard piece in my wardrobe (like a hole in the head ; )   The Celine sunglasses have a gold bar across the top so to tie in I’ve added a gold statement ring and hoops from Collette.

Firstly, can I just say that on this particular day, I lost these very fabulous Rayban Wayfarer sunglasses.   Devastated!   Our relationship was very short unfortunately, I’m asking myself if I want to go there again.   I definitely want to, but I’m afraid to get hurt if they disappear on me again.   Need more thinking time…

In other news, this little LNA grey and black sweatshirt that doubles as a dress has been very handy of late.   I must also mention the quality of LNA is exceptional.   How about this leather jacket by Hunky Dory Stockholm?   I love the intricate braiding detail.

The boots by Wittner have been really great this season, I wear them constantly.   Perfect heel height for comfort and they have that finish that wears well and gets better with age.      I’m also wearing Hunky Dory wrist pieces and trusty Proenza Schouler bag.   Jennifer Zeuner mini wishbone necklace to finish.

under the bridge

I tell you what, locations are scarce on the Gold Coast… Not that I’m complaining!   We have the best beaches in the world, a great vibe, not to mention near perfect weather year round.   I just crave some old brick walls, rustic buildings built in the early 1900’s, some English terraces… that would be nice.   Do you have any locations you can share with me?   Do tell!

On to the important stuff, the outfit.   I’ve had this Valentino Red silk print bag for a while now, but have yet to incorporate it into an outfit post.   It now makes it’s debut.   Being black and white it works with many outfits and the print adds depth to flat colours.   Pink in any form is huge right now, anything from hot pink to soft pink.   This Equipment shirt is a favourite.   The skirt is by American Vintage and the heels are from Pulp (these have been great).   Sunglasses are from Asos, Balenciaga wrist piece and earrings are from the husband.

black & white

This was a simple OOTD that we shot early one morning on our recent trip to New York and it made the fifideluxe cut!   Layering was required as it was a tad chilly and this Hunky Dory knit saved me many times over (I think I wore it every day as a layer).   In this post I’m wearing the most amazing leather dress by Joie (it’s as soft as butter) and classic Virginie Castaway cream blazer.   Thigh highs were on my shopping list, so when I tried these Stuart Weitzman boots on they were definitely coming home with me.    I also picked up this great Zara bag which is turning out to be a fabulous little purchase.
