mixed media

There are a few dynamics to this outfit.   I really liked this simple Equipment shirt all three ways… by itself, with printed Equipment cashmere knit and also with the fluffy Hunky Dory coat.   Layering is such a great way to give depth to your look.  By tying a shirt or knit around your waist it can add a pop of colour or some texture.   A coat also really completes a look and polishes it to perfection.

If you follow my instagram (@fifideluxeblog) you would know these Wittner loafers are my faves at the moment (I ended up buying all three of their current loafers).   The sunglasses are Celine available from our Janine Edwards and Come As You Are store.

It’s summer on the Gold Coast but as you can see I’m going global and being trans seasonal.   It makes it hard being on the other side of the world and in a different season.   With the internet and social media, fashion is instant and we want it now so I am constantly living between summer and winter.   Denim and a simple white tee or tank is generally my outfit every other day through summer but I love putting together wintery outfits.   It is 30 degrees today after all!

Now back to the beach… This is definitely my favourite time of year.   I hope you were all spoilt for Christmas and are enjoying your holiday…Bliss xx

street style

This was a post we shot ages ago featuring the gorgeous sequinned flannie by Free People and I completely forgot about it…anyway better late than never!   It can be worn as a shirt, a jacket or tied around your waist.   The sequins definitely give it a bit of glam.   The Tee underneath is also Free People and the leather pants are by Hunky Dory.   I’ve tied a fab Muubaa leather jacket around my waist and have paired Enrico Antinori heels and my Proenza bag for black leather accents.   Jewellry is simple with Balenciaga and Vita Fede wrists and some Collette hoops.

Are you getting excited for Christmas?   I can’t believe it’s only days away…

lover mesh

It’s party season!   And we all know that means organising a few special frocks to get us through the holidays.   This gorgeous white dress by Lover is really lovely, with it’s mesh detail and weighty embroidered body.   It falls correctly and is a good balance between sexy and sweet.   I’ve paired it with some soft accessories like this nude patent leather clutch by Yves Saint Laurent and suede sandals by Nicholas the Label.   I couldn’t go wrong with these Celine sunglasses and Chan Luu beaded earrings add that party touch.   The coat is by Virginie Castaway and jewellry is a J Crew bracelet and Rachel Zoe statement ring.

The Lover dress, Celine sunglasses and Chan Luu earrings are available from the Janine Edwards Boutique, call +61 7 5591 911 for enquiries or to view some of the other gorgeous party dresses on offer.

Christmas and New Year are just around the corner and it’s very getting exciting!   Have to say I’m quite impressed with myself this year, 95% of my Christmas shopping is done and it’s a nice feeling not to be stressed or running around last minute.   Having a three year old who is in full Christmas swing certainly makes it interesting.   Filling Santa’s sack took a lot of thought however and he gets all the credit…not so sure about that!   xx

leather tracks

I picked up this studded leather harness and blazer from BGBG Max Azria in New York earlier this year, they had some great pieces and I was surprised at the very reasonable prices.   A paper thin LNA tee underneath showcased the black highlight piece perfectly.   Leather track pants are ‘it’ at the moment and just I adore these by Made By A Friend of Mine.   They are slouchy and baggy in all the right places with enough length to adequately cuff over your killer heel, boot or flat of choice.  In keeping with my black and white theme, I added this chic little patent leather pump by Zara (another NYC purchase) and added my Proenza bag and silver accessories – Rayban sunglasses, Maison Martin Margiela rings, Michael Kors watch and Marc by Marc Jacobs earrings.
