odd molly is a brand I love

I love Odd Molly.   It’s a Swedish brand we have been importing into Australia for over 10 years now and it holds a special place in our hearts.   I used to sell the collections every season in our Edwards Imports Sydney showroom when I was working in our wholesale department.   It’s so totally unique and each piece really has a point of difference.

There is always a large selection of really beautiful stand out styles as well as a great basics range including tees and sweats.   There is something super special about each item.   Whether it’s an intricate print or knit combination, interesting use of fabric or embroidered trimmings.   Coins, buttons, or hand stitching are some of the details that make this brand stand out.   Beautifully finished swing tags and little positive quotes and logos add an inspiring touch.

Kicking off my three favourite Odd Molly items this season, is the Topanga Poncho.   A magnificent superfine knit piece which works effortlessly back with all your wardrobe essentials.   Epic brown suede fringe detail in an earthy colour palette to warm you up this winter.   How divine is this piece, I want to wear it all the time!

Next is the super comfortable patterned knit Topanga skirt.   I just love the colours in this piece including soft pink, charcoal and a deep burnt mahogany.   These tones work so well with your creams, taupes and of course black.   It’s a nice way to add some colour without going overboard and keeping things pretty low key.   There is something really nice about wearing a knitted skirt, they fit so well!   I like the way they sit and this one is a little A Line so doesn’t hug your thighs too much.   Bring out the Nancy Ganz if you need to, I do it all the time!

Skirt: Odd Molly Topanga Skirt, Top: Hunky Dory – Available in store at Janine Edwards, similar online here, Vest: Joie & Jacket: IRO Paris – Both available in Store at Janine Edwards Boutique, Boots: Rag & Bone Margot Boot, Sunglasses: Chloe, Bag: Gucci GG Shoulder Bag

Last but certainly not least, is this incredible muddy military green lace jacket.   This is a piece to melt your heart!   Sheer, long and cutting a fine silhouette, this divine creature can be thrown over just about anything.   Wear it over denim, with a white tee and trainers.   Or as an elegant evening jacket over a dress with heels and loads of decadent jewellery.   Definitely a forever item to have and to hold.   Next level in my books!

It’s always so amazing going to one of the sales conferences in Stockholm where we can experience real life “Mollys” in action.   The Odd Molly girl wears this brand head to toe and is dripping in divine prints, embellishments, tassels, luxe knitwear and earthy trimmings like studded leather boots and belts, all branded with the Odd Molly stamp.   It’s almost at cult status in pockets of Europe.   For me I like to style individual items and work it back with staple basics that I wear all the time.   Each Odd Molly piece stands alone and stands out.

In the words of the company… “Odd Molly is a brand with a heart, a mind and a conscious”.

So you see what I mean about Odd Molly?   Season after season, they come out with these really special pieces and always stay true to their philosophy.   The new collection is precious.   I love you Odd Molly xx
