black & white

We shot this outfit a while back and it features one of my favourite boyfriend jean cuts by J Brand.   They are long and loose and fall perfectly on the hips.   I’ve teamed them with some black and white layers and the epitome of a perfect black leather jacket.   Such simple dressing is perfect for our trans seasonal weather on the Gold Coast.   It really is a very mild Winter so far, but I am convinced it will get cooler over the next month or so.

Now, I have to say this baby is coming very soon.   I feel like I could give birth to this little guy any day.   As I’m having a C Section, I might be missing in action for a couple of weeks but I will be back as soon as I can get into my clothes again.   I will definitely update you on what’s going on and introduce you to our second little one as our family of three becomes four!

So stay tuned and if I disappear momentarily, you know where I’ll be!

base black

Pregnancy dressing…  It’s challenging at the best of times.    I find the best base to start with however, is a great pair of stretchy black pants and a simple black tee.   From there you can add all you like to your outfit.

Today I’ve thrown this great statement jacket over the top (It’s a bit of a perfect shape for me right now).   Another great idea is to throw a bright over sized shirt on over this base ensemble.   I have to admit, that a pair of leggings have been my savior on days off.   I cut them right down the front to make way for the belly.   It’s worked an absolute treat!

37.5 weeks…yep I know….Arghhhhhhhhh! xx

simple fashion choices

This L’At by L’Agence dress is fast becoming my go to throw on piece of the moment.   Pure ease and comfort with no restrictions.   As for feet?   Yes, I admit…a pair of Adidas is preferable at 37 weeks of pregnancy!    A leather jacket can instantly take a simple outfit up 100 decibels, such quality and luxury speaks for itself.   I’m throwing a leather jacket over everything these days, to give a little upgrade to my slightly more comfortable fashion choices!

Love you all xx

I had the pleasure of being drawn recently by the very talented Italian fashion illustrator, Melissa Corsari.   Isn’t it just gorgeous?   I used to consider myself a bit of an artist when I was at school, but boy it would be nice to be able to whip up a drawing like this on a whim.   Might get the art books and pencils out for a run to see if I still have it!   Check out Melissa’s Blog or her facebook page for fashion inspiration and to view more of her beautiful work.

neat and tidy

I love this little outfit, it’s so clean and chic/neat and tidy.   It all started with these little leather shorts which I’m kind of obsessed with at the moment.   I built from there with a collared lace sleeveless shirt and added the printed silk and knit crew.   I tossed up between some strappy stilettos and a pair loafers…the loafers won for me in the end but the heels were equally effective and a touch more dressy.   Throwing a blazer over your shoulders always works and gives your look a little edge.

As for the little bun…I’m loving a little bun right now!
