Archive for April, 2015

A piece of military green needs to pop up throughout your outfits in the coming weeks. This gorgeous colour comes and goes and I’m always happy to see it show up as the fashion cycles go around and around. This Hunky Dory jacket is from the Fifideluxe Archives. It’s one of those divine pieces I will keep forever. Say hi, it probably won’t come out again for another few years!

I’m kinda digging long skirts at the moment and this Manning Cartell pulse maxi skirt goes with so much and can be worn so many ways. Today it’s making a cameo in a little street-style-luxe way. Next week it will be with heels and a blazer! Super versatile. It really works with this heavenly Helmut Lang knit from the store and the loafers.

So you noticed the new bag? I know, I know… I had to do it. I went the goat leather instead of the shiny black leather. So much more resilient!

Happy days all xx

Oh, how I love these voluminous, billowy pants.   There’s something quite empowering when wearing a statement pair of trousers, edging on the 80’s power figure (think Michelle Pfieffer in Up Close and Personal) and today’s over-sized, slouchy, pajama looks.

I’m crushing hard on teal this week.   It’s rich and deep and has a heart like the ocean.   Especially when put back with chocolate fur…me likes.   Apart from that, I’m a bit all over the shop with my grungy, sloppy sweater added into the piece.   Just the way I like it…

You know you love me xx

media showings 2015

We have recently taken our PR in house at Edwards Imports and we had the 2015 Media Showings in our Sydney showroom last week.   We presented a selection of our main brands J Brand, Equipment, Frame Denim, Hunky Dory, Rialto Jean Project, Joie Clothing, Free People, American Vintage, Odd Molly and Enza Costa.    Fashion editors, online media, stylists, influencers and a special blogger fitting afternoon had the showroom packed.

We nibbled on organic raw treats by Bondi eatery Earth to Table and flowers by Holly Hipwell from The Flower Drum.   Oh, and I definitely think the award goes to us for the best goodie bags.     American Vintage scented candle and garment bag, Equipment leather pouchette, J Brand knit turtle neck scarf all in a Joie Tote.     Yes please!

I hope you enjoy a few images from our showroom set up…

a touch of mustard

Had one of those moments where mustard was calling me.   Of all the ochres, camels, dark browns, tans and bricks coming through, this mohair knit had my name on it and simply had to be worn for my next outfit post.

The other trend that’s big at the moment is suede (often cut into fringed tassels but not today).   I simply can’t cope with the luxury of these epic patchwork pants.   If there was ever an indulgence, it would be suede pants.   They are definitely heaven to wear but really only for special occasions.   Since laundering is virtually non existent.   Think folding them in a plastic bag and letting them sit in the freezer for the day.   Not kidding.

Have a wonderful week all xxxx

flare and fluff

This was a little impromptu shoot we did the other day in between Sydney media showings.   I carried around two furs because I love them both equally and could simply not decide which one to wear!   Oh the joys…

Have been rocking my flares this week prior to Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival next week.   We have been fitting some high profile bloggers so expect to see lots of them at the shows!

Happy days xx
