The 2nd annual Brickworks Centre‘s Inside Out Festival certainly had something for everyone.    Even I, a dedicated Ferry Road Market local discovered so much more that the complex had to offer…

We started wandering through the gorgeous little balloon filled lane ways bopping to uber cool beats which really got me in the mood.   There were food stalls for every tastebud.   Freshly shucked oysters, gourmet wood fired pizzas, melted cheese on fresh bread, Japanese plates, anti pasto platters, sliders…   We headed straight to the Verve Clicquot Bar but could have easily gone an Asahi or a Pimms.    We sat in the afternoon sun on a little faux grass cube among a cool crew, with eclectic floral arrangements adorning the tables and colourful rugs for little picnics on the floor.   It was bliss.

The crowd lined the street for the Spring Fashion Feature featuring new season collections from Another Love, St Bart’s and Runway Addict.   I loved seeing a few of my favourite brands being featured like Hunky Dory, L’Agence, Free People, Thurley and Zimmerman.   It got me really excited for the new season!

There was a magical kids Play Patch down the Hurley Burley lane way.   A child’s dream where they could draw, play giant Jenga, blow bubbles, have their face painted and grab a gelato.   Definitely going to bring a kid or two next year (maybe three but we will see!).

I particularly loved the Instagram Photo booth and epic floral picture wall for photos.    It would have been easy to spend the whole day there.    So much on offer including styling sessions, floral bouquet demonstrations, cooking and yoga classes.    Not to mention the best fresh produce on the Gold Coast at the Standard Food Market which is where I buy most of our weekly groceries.

It was kind of cool, kind of warm so I wore a gorgeous leather mid length skirt, cotton tee, knit jacket with a pattern that picked up the black in the heels and my Chloe Faye bag.

Looking forward to it next year, what a wonderful event in our beautiful Gold Coast city!

Love to all xx
