The Larmont Sydney
I just couldn’t get enough of the amazing views from my inner city hotel room at The Larmont Sydney, located in the exciting hub of Potts Point. I admired the impressive 180 degree view from my corner suite over looking the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge, right over to Rushcutter’s Bay and the Eastern Suburbs. Literally minutes to the heart of the CBD, the Oxford Street Paddington shopping strip, sublime restaurants and hole in the wall cafes. It was nice to be central and a part of the inner city vibe and energy of the area.
First impressions are important for me when it comes to hotels. When I walked into my room, I immediately felt at home. It was cozy, warm and oozed luxury with a modern feel. I knew I was going to be very happy for the next few days!
The rooms are immaculate and beautifully decorated with luxe furnishings and assorted plush and upholstered cushions in tones of grey, ivory and purple. Crisp white sheets on the most comfortable bed allowed me to have the best night sleep every night. The room was also really quiet which I loved (being such a light sleeper) and can be rare to find in the heart of the city.
The hotel offers an endless list of facilities like secure on site parking, free Wi Fi, in room i Pad, Smart TV, fitness centre and yoga classes. It’s also pet friendly which is so refreshing and really accommodating. After all, sometimes our pooches are a part of the family! I ran into this little man in the lobby who was a very satisfied guest. I really needed to borrow him as a fashion accessory for Fashion Week! Ahhh I love a Shar Pei roll…
Speaking of the lobby… It’s a comfortable part of the hotel where you can relax, catch up on work emails and listen to music of your choice. It has a great feel.
Breakfast downstairs every morning at The Hyde Restaurant was a real treat. I had the mixed berry and banana hotcakes with maple syrup and banana butter (yes it was as good as it sounds!) and a French style omelette with fresh ricotta and chia seeds during my stay. Oh, and how could I forget… the coffee was very good too and one must have good coffee!
Styling my outfits for Australian Fashion Week was such a pleasure in my generous sized suite. The modern and stylish decor really allowed me to spread out and see how everything worked together. There was also a little desk where I set up my work station for editing content through the week. Although I mostly lounged on the bed and enjoyed the space and view while I worked.
The Hyde Restaurant
We had a magnificent dinner at The Hyde Restaurant underneath the hotel on the Wednesday night. It was a truly delectable, fine dining experience with a welcoming bistro feel and wonderful service. Not to mention the good company! We used the evening to de-brief on the amazing but hectic week that is MBFWA! The modern European menu is vast and deep with a impressive wine list and cocktail selection as well.
All in all, I felt so at home at this gorgeous boutique hotel. Everything was perfect and our trip was complete by the lovely helpful staff and service. I look forward to my next stay at The Larmont Sydney and would definitely recommend it for your next visit to Sydney. To make a booking, contact The Larmont Sydney team.
