Getting my hair right has always been a challenge. It’s actually super curly so I’m constantly straightening it and my colour has never been spot on. So when I became a 2017 Oscar Oscar Ambassador after winning the Gold Coast Bulletin’s 50 Best Dressed, I was super excited to get it on the right track.
Oscar Oscar Salons are superior in every way. I used to go to the Paddington salon when I lived in Sydney and it was always bit of an indulgence to go. Number one is you’re guaranteed to get a really experienced stylist that is up with the latest in hair style trends. They listened to what I actually wanted for my hair and felt I was able to put my trust in them.
Basically I wanted to get my hair in a really healthy condition, with a great cut and colour. It was a tad too dark so we lightened it a little but kept my signature rich brown hue. It’s just me. Over the last few months, Oscar Oscar at Pacific Fair on the Gold Coast have got me to exactly where I wanted to be with my hair.
They offer every possible treatment for your hair and a full styling service. They also have an impressive product offering stocking brands like Aveda, Kerastase, Shu Uemura and Redken. These are some of my favorites so I’m covered for quality at home products.
These days our lives are so hectic so I use my time in the salon to unwind and relax. I always feel really special and completely looked after when I go in, it’s a lovely experience from start to finish.
First up is choosing from a menu with a gorgeous selection of herbal teas and coffee as well at Byron Bay cookies. I always have the Aveda Tea, I’m in love with it! You are then treated to a generous shoulder massage. You take three deep breaths of the beautiful oil and relax. It’s pretty amazing. From there I set up my laptop and use the complimentary Wifi to do some work. It’s actually quite a productive time for me.
Then on to your hair treatment of choice. Cut, colour, blowdry, intensive treatment, re-texturising or complete style make over. Hmmm… Now my hair is feeling strong, protected and the colour is spot on, I might need a change… Where to next? This could be interesting! xx
