The Brickworks Inside Out Food & Lifestyle Festival was bigger and better than ever this year. I did the morning run with Addie and had an absolute ball!
We were lucky enough to attend the special Breakfast at Spendelove Bistro & Bar where we were able to taste some of the food on offer for the day. I started with the fish pie and Addie had the steak and rosemary one (and a sausage roll and tomato sauce). I also tried the Tune Poke salad and a yummy mini burger! Little miss put in a special pancake order which gave her lots of energy for the day. It certainly was a breakfast of champions for us!
It’s a great day for the kids with lots of free activities on throughout the day. Addie really loved the Craft Lane Way. She decided to make her own flower corsage while I stuck to the more traditional crown. It was so much fun!! Then she moved onto an awesome art table where she traced and coloured in her own little bag with permanent markers.
There are so many gorgeous places to sit around the venue like little picnic spots, tables, chairs and benches. So while Addie was busy, I just lounged on a little lawn lump, sipped away on my second coffee of the day and listened to an awesome chick singing. Who was that by the way? Must investigate…
There was face painting and lots of fun in the Kids Zone where they can do some artwork, play with cool toys, blow bubbles and draw on a huge chalk board. Balloons were handed out to all the children as well.
Little miss wore a SEED Gingham Romper, my Free People Knit Vest (from last season), Chanel Cross Body Bag and Big W Two Tone Sandals. I wore J Brand Cropped White jeans, L’Agence Silk Cami, Anine Bing Charlie Boots, Valentino Bag and Jimmy Choo Sunglasses
After we explored the stalls, shops and listened to some live music for a while we decided it was lunch time. The food!! It was almost too overwhelming, I couldn’t choose! I wanted a bit of everything!
I would have loved to sit in the afternoon sun drinking Aperol Spritzer’s, enjoying some fresh seafood, watching the fashion parade and listening to live music, but I had to be a good mumma and take Addie home. Maybe an afternoon run next year with friends!
After all this I let Addie have her free gelato scoop which she wanted all morning. She was happy as ever!
Hmmmmm… Looks like someone I know??
One thing is for absolute sure, the Brickworks Inside Out festival is seriously cool. Definitely my kind of markets, everything is done so beautifully! The set up, quality products on offer, free activities that are really divine and gourmet eats and drinks that are second to none! Not to mention the super cool vibe…
I adored it and hope next year it goes for the whole weekend instead of just the Sunday… What do you think, guys?
