For the opening night of Mercedes Fashion Festival in Brisbane by Pacific Fair, we stayed at the Next Hotel, situated smack bang in the middle of the city. The location was amazing. You literally walk down the escalator onto the main shopping mall that is buzzing with life and just a short stroll down the road to Queens Plaza. The shopping and restaurants are in abundance with loads of little lane ways down the side streets housing funky urban cafes and cool bars.
Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia was everything I imagined and more! It was so much fun to attend as a Blogger this year, really immerse myself in the week and soak up all the action. My posse and I were all a tad excited and we just had the best time ever!
Ginger & Smart was definitely one of my favourite shows of the week. The collection was so cohesive, a truly beautiful and complete story from start to finish. Unique textures like sheer mesh, cut out tissue paper like silk circles and striking prints all worked together to create a visually stunning and harmonious offering. OMG it was amazing.
I just couldn’t get enough of the amazing views from my inner city hotel room at The Larmont Sydney, located in the exciting hub of Potts Point. I sat and admired the impressive 180 degree view from my corner suite over looking the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge right over to Rushcutter’s Bay and the Eastern Suburbs. Literally minutes to the heart of the CBD, the Oxford Street Paddington shopping strip, sublime restaurants and hole in the wall cafes. It was nice to be central and a part of the inner city vibe and energy of the area.
We were invited to a very special sneak peak and sleep over at the new Sage Hotel in James Street which opens next week. It was such a wonderful 24 hours where we enjoyed all the hotel had to offer as well as the inner city charms of James Street and surrounds. The area has become a cultural hub of fashion, food, coffee and the atmosphere was contagious. The street was buzzing with life, culture and I felt right at home.
