saturday style

Just getting around in an over-sized black silk dress, a mega jacket, some kicks and a bucket bag.   Saturday style personified.

a touch of mustard

Had one of those moments where mustard was calling me.   Of all the ochres, camels, dark browns, tans and bricks coming through, this mohair knit had my name on it and simply had to be worn for my next outfit post.

The other trend that’s big at the moment is suede (often cut into fringed tassels but not today).   I simply can’t cope with the luxury of these epic patchwork pants.   If there was ever an indulgence, it would be suede pants.   They are definitely heaven to wear but really only for special occasions.   Since laundering is virtually non existent.   Think folding them in a plastic bag and letting them sit in the freezer for the day.   Not kidding.

Have a wonderful week all xxxx

kicking goals

I hope our son plays sport on Saturdays when he grows up.   If I end up being one of those soccer mums, this is what I’ll be wearing to cheer him on from the side lines.   Also suitable for a ballet mum as I’m already one of those.   New fashion predicaments, I like it!

I’m just loving comfort right now and these sleek Nike’s are doing the job.   I also feel more secure walking around with an 8 week old in hand, heels definitely need more brain space (which is what I’m lacking in at the moment!).

We just spent a week in Brisbane for the Ekka.   It was loads of fun and I find living in a hotel for a week can sometimes help the family re-group.   Baby was was sleeping well in the pram through the day so I think I’m going to continue this for a while.   The joys of getting a baby to sleep!

Did I tell you I took baby Jack to the Chiropractor?   I know, I know, some of you might be grimacing right now (my father was horrified) but it has definitely helped.   He was so miserable for a few weeks (as was the family) with awful reflux.   A good friend suggested baby Chiro and with the medication finally kicking in, he is much happier.   Even though I had a Cesarian, they had to use forceps…he was in a bad way poor little guy!   Anyway, I have to say… it was a pretty amazing experience.   He actually likes going for his treatment now, especially the part when he is swung upside down by his ankles.   Not kidding!

go silk

So I was 35 weeks pregnant yesterday… And yes, in case you were wondering, some of the images I post on my blog over the next 3 weeks are pictures we took a few weeks ago.   I am certainly posting current pics of daily outfits on my instagram however (@fifideluxeblog) where you can definitely see my bump and boy it’s getting substantial… Not long now and getting exciting!

This little outfit I’m wearing is by a brand called Go Silk that we import into Australia through our wholesale company Edwards Imports.   The collection consists of heavenly silk pieces in beautiful neutral tones.   They have started to add a bit more structure to the line recently with divine light blazers and edgy little skirt and top combos.   I will definitely posting more Go Silk in the future so stay tuned.

Mid length skirts are quite strong at the moment with this dainty hemline length showing up everywhere.   Try wearing your Birkenstocks with a mid length skirt too, gorgeous!

I hope you are all well and had a lovely mother’s day.   I can’t travel at the moment due to my monumental bump so Addie is at our property with daddy for a few days giving me a little break.     Although I’m working, I have to say I’m certainly enjoying a bit of me time!   Have to make the most of this before baby number two makes his entrance into the world.   Love to all xx xx

checks and leather

Okay, it has to be said straight up…how cool is this JOIE leather jacket?   I styled it back with these perforated leather track pants by Made by a Friend of Mine and some black leather Wittner loafers.    I just love how this check tank by Equipment has a thin blue neckline.   Sometimes a touch of colour is just what you need to lift your spirits!   Of course I couldn’t help but add this shirt around my waist to tie in the blue… Stylin’… xx
