slouchy

So much relaxed deconstruction showing up…lots of voluminous trousers, slouchy knits, ballooning coats and billowing trenches.   I’m so in love with this look and a loose pant like this is the perfect place to start building your outfit.

You can’t go wrong with a long shirt and a knit tied around your neck or over the top as a layer.   This Hunky Dory coat is a gem, it’s the perfect weight to throw over and gives even more volume.

Simple, over-sized goodness.   Does it for me everytime!

Happy Friday everyone, lots of love to all xx

city street biker chic

\

Every once in a while I get a hunger pang to wear a punchy red tone and what could be better than this impressive plaid button up?   It simply pops but is toned down nicely by the greys and blacks accompanying it.   Just a hint of colour peeking through is good for me and leaves plenty to the imagination.

Back to my J Brands and this particular style rocks.   It’s a little biker chick with the washed grey and zipper details.   Cashmere, leather, suede heels and Chanel… I’m done xx

cardi coat

Hi all, how is everyone?   Wow, what a whirlwind the last two weeks has been.

We now have a beautiful baby boy named Jack to add to our brood and as expected the household has certainly been interesting with a toddler as well.   I’m living in a baby coma right now…feeding around the clock, trying to recover, looking after Addie and trying to get some sleep in between. Hubby has been amazing as usual though and helps out so much.

Addison was born naturally and due to two factors, a Caesarean was decided by our Doctors for our second. Firstly, the natural was extremely traumatic (Addie was 9 pounds and I’m not a big girl).   Secondly, I developed a pain condition from an injury two years ago and there was risk of a pain transfer if not managed properly post surgery.

I have to say, my C Section experience was awful!   All my friends told me it wasn’t so bad but it’s major abdominal surgery and 12 days later, am only just starting to find it easier to get up and down.   Not to mention they had to re do the spinal half way through cutting me open because I could feel it – I’m not joking.

That being said, we have a healthy baby boy who was 3.94kgs at birth and that’s all we can ask for.   So blessed and really starting to feel like a family now with the four of us.

We shot this outfit a few days before baby arrived.   I was chasing some loose tees to hide my belly and came across this awesome cardi coat from Sportsgirl. I was fifteen the last time I had a shop up at Sportsgirl and as usual, you can always find some great pieces.

I’m loving casual dressing at the moment for obvious reasons and this outfit ticks all those boxes. I dare say it will be casual for a few weeks longer!

Love to all xx

black & white

We shot this outfit a while back and it features one of my favourite boyfriend jean cuts by J Brand.   They are long and loose and fall perfectly on the hips.   I’ve teamed them with some black and white layers and the epitome of a perfect black leather jacket.   Such simple dressing is perfect for our trans seasonal weather on the Gold Coast.   It really is a very mild Winter so far, but I am convinced it will get cooler over the next month or so.

Now, I have to say this baby is coming very soon.   I feel like I could give birth to this little guy any day.   As I’m having a C Section, I might be missing in action for a couple of weeks but I will be back as soon as I can get into my clothes again.   I will definitely update you on what’s going on and introduce you to our second little one as our family of three becomes four!

So stay tuned and if I disappear momentarily, you know where I’ll be!

go silk

So I was 35 weeks pregnant yesterday… And yes, in case you were wondering, some of the images I post on my blog over the next 3 weeks are pictures we took a few weeks ago.   I am certainly posting current pics of daily outfits on my instagram however (@fifideluxeblog) where you can definitely see my bump and boy it’s getting substantial… Not long now and getting exciting!

This little outfit I’m wearing is by a brand called Go Silk that we import into Australia through our wholesale company Edwards Imports.   The collection consists of heavenly silk pieces in beautiful neutral tones.   They have started to add a bit more structure to the line recently with divine light blazers and edgy little skirt and top combos.   I will definitely posting more Go Silk in the future so stay tuned.

Mid length skirts are quite strong at the moment with this dainty hemline length showing up everywhere.   Try wearing your Birkenstocks with a mid length skirt too, gorgeous!

I hope you are all well and had a lovely mother’s day.   I can’t travel at the moment due to my monumental bump so Addie is at our property with daddy for a few days giving me a little break.     Although I’m working, I have to say I’m certainly enjoying a bit of me time!   Have to make the most of this before baby number two makes his entrance into the world.   Love to all xx xx
