inspiration

Where do you get your outfit inspiration from?   For me, a little inspiration can go a long way.   For instance, the idea for this outfit came from seeing a young school girl waiting patiently at the bus stop on a chilly morning.   She was wearing her green and blue plaid uniform, with a grey cardigan, clumpy black leather shoes and was cold so had her denim jacket on over the top.   If only she knew how cool she looked in my eyes.

parisian blue

I fell in love with this amazing blue that was predominant amongst the Hunky Dory Spring 2015 collection (along side creams, lilacs and an abundance of wearable denim pieces).   The brand can be quite chic and classic with an edgy twist, but this range encapsulates the very essence of summer dressing.   I wanted to shoot about five looks but I was lucky enough to steal these pieces for the weekend from the samples earlier this year to feature for our Australian summer July delivery.   Here it is!

I can’t believe we are coming toward the end of our winter, I hope we still have lots more chilly days to go before the Aussie summer hits.   I feel at home in winter, I think it must be because of our Melbourne roots, where cooler weather really is a reality.   After all, it is 24 degrees here today.   Brrrrrrrrr ; )

Love to all xxxx

fringe benefits

Everyone needs a little fringing in their life and this dress was the perfect piece to take me from 1 to 100 in the stakes.   There’s something so cheeky to have your legs swishing about under long tassels.    I also love a LBD that you can take from evening to day when teamed with a simple denim jacket, it adds great diversification.

I hope you are all well my friends, love to you xxxx

military

A piece of military green needs to pop up throughout your outfits in the coming weeks. This gorgeous colour comes and goes and I’m always happy to see it show up as the fashion cycles go around and around. This Hunky Dory jacket is from the Fifideluxe Archives. It’s one of those divine pieces I will keep forever. Say hi, it probably won’t come out again for another few years!

I’m kinda digging long skirts at the moment and this Manning Cartell pulse maxi skirt goes with so much and can be worn so many ways. Today it’s making a cameo in a little street-style-luxe way. Next week it will be with heels and a blazer! Super versatile. It really works with this heavenly Helmut Lang knit from the store and the loafers.

So you noticed the new bag? I know, I know… I had to do it. I went the goat leather instead of the shiny black leather. So much more resilient!

Happy days all xx

polka dots and other pickings

I know, I know… I’m obsessed with Equipment shirts.   But how cool are they?   There are so many colours, prints, patterns available and the clashing combinations are endless.    Too much fun throwing these pieces together.

We have some really exciting news about Frame Denim which I will update you on very soon.   Good times ahead and more of these amazing jeans to be featured in up coming posts.

Big kisses to you all and see you in a few days xx
