black & white

We shot this outfit a while back and it features one of my favourite boyfriend jean cuts by J Brand.   They are long and loose and fall perfectly on the hips.   I’ve teamed them with some black and white layers and the epitome of a perfect black leather jacket.   Such simple dressing is perfect for our trans seasonal weather on the Gold Coast.   It really is a very mild Winter so far, but I am convinced it will get cooler over the next month or so.

Now, I have to say this baby is coming very soon.   I feel like I could give birth to this little guy any day.   As I’m having a C Section, I might be missing in action for a couple of weeks but I will be back as soon as I can get into my clothes again.   I will definitely update you on what’s going on and introduce you to our second little one as our family of three becomes four!

So stay tuned and if I disappear momentarily, you know where I’ll be!

baby blues

So we shot these pics a while ago en route to the surf club (from the beach) hence the tousled and unruly, salty locks.    It’s a J Brand winning combination with the Ace in Illume (ultimate baby blues) the Hilary blouse and new Spring 14 leather jacket.

These slightly higher waisted boy fit jeans are a tribute to Cindy Crawford’s iconic 90’s style and the uneven contrast shirt is the perfect piece to show them off.   What do you think of this style?   I kinda dig.

We’re at our family property at the moment for the Easter break and there has been an internet/mobile phone service crash in the area.   I have to say the anxiety definitely kicks in when I can’t get online.   Trying to find little spots with service has proven interesting.   Not my idea of fun!   Anyway, as the hubby says…DEAL.   Now, let’s go ride a horse!

Love to all xx

be my boyfriend

I just love me some boyfriend jeans.   Here’s a tip…if you don’t think you can pull them off or don’t like the way they fit you, just tie a shirt around your waist and voila!  You can SO do it.   I’m also wearing my heavenly Hunky Dory leather jacket, Ray Bans and Alexander Wang Pelican Bag.

feeling free

Was feeling a bit whimsical today and this Free people dress was the perfect piece to assist.  It’s quite sheer so layering with a knit covered the ‘need to cover’ bits and added the depth I was chasing.   Of course for summer you could wear it over a slip or bikini.  These delicious sorbet Karen Walker sunglasses picked up flecks of tan and burnt orange through the chunky knit and Michael Kors shoulder bag.  I’m also wearing my fave ochre studded Whittner leather high tops and trusty palm fedora.  The Free People dress can be purchased at our online store and the knit is available at the fifiluxe store.

white and baby blue

What a week.  Our entire household has been floored with the flu and it completely wiped us out, especially me!  The little person in our lives loves to bring home everything and anything from day care and I’m the first person she wants to share it with : )  Job for the week, find an amazing naturopath to help build up the immune system.  Mine is positively lacking…

Now to the more important stuff, the outfit.   I love fresh white with light boyfriend denim, there’s something ‘spring like’ about it, even in the depths of winter.  If you’re a little shy of mixing prints, here’s the way to do it.  Just think subtle and keep thinks tonal.   The leopard print clutch sets off the soft blue Equipment stripe, white Virginie Castaway Jacket and J Brand baby blue nicely.   Heavy cream ksubi sunglasses, Wayne by Wayne Cooper heels and silver accessories complete today’s look.

Ps.  How cool is this corregated tin wall I found!  Love it.

Here’s to feeling good x
