check mate

Super simple but relatively effective today in this little ensemble by Equipment Fr and Joie.ย ย  I’m constantly chasing a little pop of colour and red stays within the safe boundaries whilst still being a fashion colour.ย ย  I love a layer, anything will do.ย ย  It will give your outfit a bit more depth so I threw this little Riley tee over the top.ย ย  I’m kinda living in these leather Joie shorts, they’re so comfortable and work with so many looks.ย ย ย ย  The silver rings, earrings and studding on the McQueen heels work well with the metallic grey hardwear on the Chanel Boy.ย ย ย  It’s a nice change from Gold or Silver.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend…much love xx

chunky knit & thigh highs

Lately I’ve been wanting to wear big chunky knits as dresses with my Stuart Weitzman thigh high boots.ย ย  There’s something a bit sexy about wearing an over-sized knit and nothing much else.ย ย  This piece is seriously special, designed by one of the first labels mum brought in to the country. ย  In her day, English designer Sara Sturgeon was huge (she stopped designing many years ago) and I have many pieces stored carefully in the wardrobe.ย  One year when I was fresh out of school, I worked in Paris on the stand at the Pret-a-Porter and in the Sara Sturgeon showroom in London.ย ย  It certainly was an amazing experience for a teenager and I learned so much about the industry.

I picked up this Dolce & Gabbana pony hair bag in New York as I desperately needed another leopard piece in my wardrobe (like a hole in the head ; )ย ย  The Celine sunglasses have a gold bar across the top so to tie in I’ve added a gold statement ring and hoops from Collette.

vintage michiko koshino

Felt like raiding the vintage side of my wardrobe today and pieced together a super cool buckle skirt by the amazing Japanese designer Michiko Koshino with a pleated Nolita blouse and some black ankle boots x
