inspiration

Where do you get your outfit inspiration from?   For me, a little inspiration can go a long way.   For instance, the idea for this outfit came from seeing a young school girl waiting patiently at the bus stop on a chilly morning.   She was wearing her green and blue plaid uniform, with a grey cardigan, clumpy black leather shoes and was cold so had her denim jacket on over the top.   If only she knew how cool she looked in my eyes.

pretty tones

Wore my fave pair of washed out denim jeans to throw back with soft knitwear and silk pieces for today’s look.    The white leather bag and pumps, I don’t do that everyday!   But it gives a nice feel for in between seasons.

How has your Easter weekend been?   Ours has been lovely.   Very relaxing at our property and heading back to the coast next week.   My baby shower is next weekend so excited for that one.   Will definitely post some pics for you!

Love to all xx

clean and chic

It “speaks in volumes” when you wear a sharp and ample statement piece.   This prolific silhouette add a theatrical and dramatic touch whilst still maintaining a minimalist femininity.   This mini dress by Hunky Dory is no exception.   I think I’m in love.

clean and chic

We took these photos what seems like forever ago so thought I might get them up seeing as I’m on an orange roll.   A beautiful shirt buttoned through, the perfect skirt, a messy bun and flawless accessories make for a simple, but clean and chic outfit.   We have our daughter’s pre-prep school interview this morning… This could definitely be suitable!

chunky knit

Hello all!   Hope everyone is doing well.   I’m working on lots of outfits at the moment for posting in the coming months… I have to say it’s definitely not as easy as throwing together whatever you like when you have a football slowly inflating in your tummy.   That being said, I’ve decided to go with it and embrace the belly.

A chunky knit is the perfect piece to add volume and texture, not to mention it’s belly hiding abilities (whether or not it’s a baby belly or an indulgent lunchtime meal).   Throw it together with some skinny leg jeans or in this case a leather pencil skirt and it balances the shape out well.   I’ve added a lilac/white/baby blue Joie plaid shirt around the waist for some depth with this Dolce & Gabbana pony hair pouch…(love the lilac plaid and leopard together). These Tony Bianco booties are becoming a regular and Celine sunglasses and simple Maison Martin Margiela rings complete the look.

See you in a few days xx
